I'm Bernardo Pacheco, an enthusiastic 2D animator from Portugal and I've been working in the animation industry for 11 years, since this is what I really love to do.

​I studied 2D Traditional Animation in Lisbon, at "ETIC_escola tecnica de imagem e comunicao" for 3 years and had my first job experience as a Clean Up Artist for a company named Animanostra, in Lisbon, right after I finished my studies in 2009.

 

In 2011, I was invited to work with Bang Bang Animation Studio in Lisbon, Portugal where I had the opportunity to be part of the best production for a TV´ show ever made in Portugal: Nutriventures. I have worked in this amazing studio for 3 years.

 

In 2012 I adventured myself by making part of a short animation movie - "Les Ponts de Saravejo" - which was selected for Cannes Festival, 2014.
 

After these projects, I decided to continue developing my techniques as a 2D animator in another country, Ireland, Dublin.

2015 - 2021 Boulder Media Studio challenged me to progress in a different kind of department and one of my tasks implies to be a 2D Animation Revisionist for the amazing remake of Danger Mouse TV show, where i impproved my skills as an animator.

After this project, this Studio gave me the opportunity to work as a 2D animator for several other shows like, Wonder Over Yonder, Rescue Bots Show, Little Pet Shop, Catburglar a Netflix show and the DC Super Hero Girls, warner brothers show.

2021 - I had the opportunity to work on my first animated feature film, "El Deafo", at Light house Studio animation. 

From May 2021 to June 2024, I was challenged to work as a 2D rough animator on the incredible Disney/Marvel TV's show, “Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur” at the Flying Barks studio in Australia, where I worked with so many talented artists that I was able to improve my knowledge and skills and thanks to this great show I am a better animator now!

Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, received several nominations and several awards and at he moment it has 9 wins and 8 nominations, such as:​

Between, 2015 and now, two close friends and I decided to move forward with a very special idea for us with two beloved characters and we created the Pete&Bern´s Show. 

In this project I had the opportunity to be involved in all departments, I developed character design, storyboard, direction, animation, leading a team of animators and etc... I must let you know that I am a very hard worker, whom always pays great attention to detail whilst working to and completing tight deadlines. I'm flexible and open minded, a fast learner and eager to learn more in order to innovate within my field. I am very creative and always pulling out new ideas for any project that I am committed to.
